A Mission of Love and Caring
Our inspiration for Molly's Babies was my own beautiful granddaughter Molly, who passed away at
6 weeks old and will never get a chance to care for own baby doll. We wanted to honor her short but
beautiful life by doing something meaningful for little girls in her name. So Molly’s Babies was born.
Molly's Babies are special baby dolls -- some new, some gently used -- all lovingly cleaned and redressed
by our volunteers to be given to little girls -- little Mommies -- all over the country who don't have a
baby doll to hold and care for.
Molly's Babies all come with a Birth Certificate and a gift card to the new "Grandparents" explaining
Molly’s Babies and our Mission. And depending on availability, the dolls will come with accessories
which may include things such as bottles, blankets, toys, and/or hats.
Mission Statement
The Mission of Molly's Babies Inc. is to provide dolls to children in need of a baby doll to hold, love & care for.
This is accomplished though:
Donations of gently used dolls.
Donations of New dolls.
Accessories for the dolls, bottles, diapers, blankets, clothes,etc.
Why
We are doing this in honor of My Granddaughter who passed away at 6 weeks old,
and will never get a chance to care for her own baby doll. My other granddaughter came
over and wanted to play with my dolls and it got me thinking about Molly and her not every
getting a chance to have her own baby to play with. then I though there are other little girls
that don't have a baby to hold and care
for so I came up with Molly's Babies.
Goals
Our goals are to get enough dolls and accessories to make sure every little girl that doesn't have a
baby to hold and care for get's one.
How we use your Donation's
All Donations go toward's any dolls we need to buy and accessories, for our website,
postage to mail the dolls, any supply's, etc.
I do NOT make anything for doing this. I'm doing this voluntarily in
honor of my Granddaughter Molly.
Funding
Funding for Molly’s Babies at this point is solely through donations coming though our
website or local donations from individuals.
Our fundraising goal for this first year is $3000 to help with our many related expenses.
We spread the word through our web site, Facebook page, Twitter, email,
word of mouth, handing out hundreds of business cards, and through fundraisers.
We've also sold ads on our web site and have received gifts-in-kind from
several small business owners who support our cause.
In the near future we hope to apply for a grant
to help us build an inventory of dolls, doll clothes, shoes, blankets, doll baby bottles,
paper for cards and certificates, and cash as well, to pay the cost of shipping the dolls.
Until such time as we are able to apply for grants however,
we depend on the generosity and loving hearts of those who know the
joy of seeing a little "Mommy" hug her first baby doll.
Request A Baby Doll for a Little Girl You Know
If you know of a little girl in need of a baby doll, please click on the "Request A Dolly"
link and fill out the Molly's Babies request form.
Please let us know why this little girl is in need of a doll.
We're in the process of developing a list of criteria for eligibility for a free doll,
as we know that we won't be able to send a doll to every little girl in America, as much as we'd like to.
For now however, if there are special circumstances
that make it important for your chosen child to receive a doll,
please let us know and we'll make every attempt to see
that these special circumstance requests are filled first.
Lucky little Mommies will receive their new dollies as soon as possible,
depending on availability of supplies.
In time, with a little help from what we hope will be a growing list of supporters,
dolls will be sent out immediately upon approval of the request.
What Comes with our Molly Babies
They will Get a doll, outfit, hat, bib, bottle, diaper, blanket, booties or socks, face cloth, Card.
Not all of the above will be available we are in hopes
to get a good supply of them to keep them with the babies.
We are in hopes to add with them a book, diaper bag, scrunchies ,doll toys..
